Hello, I'm Rhi! It's very nice to meet you! You'll have to excuse this mess. I'm moving to New York in a
couple of days and I'm very far behind! I didn't think the day would come so soon!
So where should we begin? First of all, let me properly introduce myself. My name is Rhiannon Atkins, but
everybody calls me Rhi. If you've been watching any TV, you might recognize me from a certain modeling
competition/reality tv series called Top Model by Grace.
Oh, before we continue let me introduce you to Percy! Say 'hi' Percy!
So this is the final sixteen of Top Model by Grace Cycle 3. In case you can't find me, I'm in the bottom left corner. ;-) I'm still a little shocked I beat out so many beautiful and talented girls. Below are some of my favorite shots that I took during the competition.
This was from the first week where we took part in a campaign in support of breast cancer. I really loved how the photos turned out - everyone had gorgeous shots.
In the second week, we were given the opportunity to shoot for a L.A. fashion designer by the name of Tori. We were taken to this gorgeous beach resort and I think I can vouch for all the girls when I say that this was one of the best experiences during the competition. Not only did I end up being part of the girls chosen to shoot for Tori's lookbook, but I also got to have an amazing beach day with the girls. Even though there was a bit of drama, it was still one of the best weeks of the competition.
I absolutely love, love, love this beauty shot! I felt really in my element and took a risk by angling my face to create shadows. The judges ate it up and I believe this was the point where I became more of a front-runner in the competition.
I really like how this composite shot of all the remaining competitors turned out.
This particular week in the competition was another pretty exciting experience. The judges really put us to the test by making us go on castings for Mattel Fashion Week. I managed to book five shows and the judges said I have a strong runway presence. What do you think?
The week before we shot our potential Barbie Girl Cosmetics ads, we had this pretty wild shoot shooting with a baby cheetah cub. I honestly think this shot is one of the strongest I took in the competition.
Since I won, life just hasn't been the same. The prize package of this competition is just insane! First of all, I got to shoot alongside my Top Model mentor, Grace, for one of the first photo shoots I did after the competition.
I also got my very own cover of the up and coming LIV magazine! I totally felt like a couture Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
A Barbie Girl Cosmetics ad campaign was also in the cards. I must say, I look pretty fierce!
Winston Models offered me a one-year contract since I won the competition. I'm beyond stoked considering this agency is known for putting out a killer legion of models. In addition, I have a pretty stellar opportunity ahead that I can't share with you guys yet (but definitely stay tuned).
The last piece of the prize package is my very own Mini Cooper! However, since I'm leaving for New York, I'm leaving it in the very trusty and capable hands of Marisol (the runner-up of the season I competed in). She originally had plans to come to New York with me, but something came up and I trust her with the stuff I'm leaving behind in Cali.
Oh-my-gosh, would you look at the time? C'mon, Percy we have to finish packing!
I hope you've all enjoyed getting to know me a bit better. I'm new at this blog hosting thing so try to bear with me! Stay tuned for my future adventures in the Big Apple!
Until next time,
